Waves

I went on a trip and saw the ocean and this came to me 🤭

Where the waves hit the shore

Freezing and cold

Where the waves hit the shore

Tearing my heart from my soul

The splash against the rocks

And the cool air against my skin

The ocean breeze smell filling my nose

As the sand rests between my toes

The lights of the houses

Slowly come on

As the sun rises from the horizon

And brings upon the break of dawn

And that’s when I must leave

Never to be seen

Until the next night

Brings upon the ocean waves
